So here's an idea.... How about we take kids on a four hour bus ride for the weekend after they just arrived in a new city. Yea that sounds like a good idea.....?!?
First off, we had to be there at the crack of dawn on Friday morning to leave. I mean seriously, I didn't even know that 7:45 am existed! So we leave to head to Valencia. A four hour bus ride. Not good. I get car sick soo easily and four hours in a bus did not sound appealing. So we finally get to Valencia and then took a tour of the city. It was actually a really cool city but we only had like three hours to spend in the downtown area and two hours of it was with a guide so we couldn't really just explore. Then we went back to the hotel and got our rooming assignments. We were just paired with random people. It was kind of awkward but I feel like this whole situation is awkward. I feel like I'm starting college all over again. I'm about to just wear a sign around my neck that says my name, where I'm from and what school I go to. It will save a lot of breath. Anyways, back to Valencia... we went out to dinner and then out to a bar. A very crowded smoky bar. It was ridiculous. You seriously couldn't even move, just standing you were always touching someone. It was awful. We only stayed for like 45 minutes then went back to bed. The next morning we had to wake up early again and head to an aquarium and a science museum, like I couldn't see those anywhere? Neither were anything special. I felt like such a tourist. Traveling in a big group with a lady who held a fan in the air. Yea, straight up tourist. And the whole point of this trip was to meet people but I didn't really feel like it was that good of a way to meet people. But oh well. Then today we left early in the morning once again but on the way home we stopped in like the oldest Roman city in Spain. It was a cool city but I was so over the trip and just wanted to get back to my apartment. The best part of the trip I would have to say was the bus ride home. Pretty much everyone was sleeping except for me because I had cafe con leche (coffee with milk) for lunch. Oh yea, by the way, apparently I like to drink coffee now?? I used to hate it and only drink tea, but a lot of places here only serve coffe so I started drinking it. I've drank more coffee in the past five days than I have in my entire life and unfortuately I'm starting to like it. But with milk and sugar of course, their coffee is sooo strong! But anyways, since I was pretty much the only one up I planned out my life. So first, while I'm here I'm going to become very European and educate myself on worldly issues. When I come back you will be amazed. Then I am going to seriously look into Grad school... I just got into this mood lately that I am going to go to Grad school. Weird? I think I just don't want to be living in the real world yet, I like the half reality vibe that college has. :) Then after Grad school I am going to live in Chicago. So yea, this weekend was good for something I guess.
So here I am finally. I'm glad to be back in Barcelona. I really need to start to get to know the area and the city. I am making myself venture all over the city this week while I still have basically nothing to do during the day other than two hours of orientation. It should be a good chance to get to see and learn the city.
I'm having a good time but I just want everyone to know that I miss you all! Its been really hard not having anyone I know here. I mean I'm an out going person and talking with people isn't hard but I definitely feel lonely. Hopefully everything will work itself out soon and I'll get into a routine and have a good group of people I hang out with and feel comfortable with. But I definitely miss everyone.
So I feel like this blog posting is all over the place since I was talking on AIM with friends and on Skype to my mom while I was writing this... sorry if it is. I hope I didn't forget anything important and that it makes sense! haha Anyways, time to unpack my bag from this weekend and hang out with the roomies. Epiphany

Ashley, WE MISS YOU TOO!!!! I hope you get into the swing of things soon. The first week or two in the Dominican Republic I thought I would never get to go home but when it came time to leave, I didn't want to go. Embrace the culture and learn everything you can, you won't regret it. By the way, I love the idea of you living in Chicago. That's Trent and I's fave city. Love you, Crystal
Ash, I bet you wished you could hold the fan like your tour guide! What's the weather like for you? I hope it is fabulously warm for you...
Ashley ~ You should have just taken that fan and stuck it you know where! You sound like Amber the way you went on about everything! You will eventually get settled and love the city life! Make the most of it while you are there! We miss you & love you!
Hi Ashley! Glad your Mom sent me the link to you ... aren't you proud to have your Amish Aunt commenting on your blog??? So, where would you rather be? Barcelona or the Rain Forest in Cairns? Don't answer that or I might cry! Love you tons! Oh and I for sure won't tell Kevin about you going to that soccer game ... Barcelona is his FAV team!!!
